Meet the COWRA Team


  • Andy ANDY PARTNER

    One of Balance Accountants & Advisers’ partners, Andrew Pullen holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance), is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Financial Planner. After spending the better part of a decade learning and experiencing the business from the inside out at another company, Andrew decided to start his own practice in 2012 and hasn’t looked back. Whilst conceding that running an accounting practice can be time-consuming, Andrew finds balance with bike rides whenever he can and recharges by spending time with his young family.

  • Matt MATT PARTNER

    Matt Pullen has been with Balance Accountants & Advisers since its inception in 2012 and has enjoyed watching the business grow. A qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance), Matt became a partner in 2016. Matt has an eye for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds and specialises in tax for businesses and individuals. Outside work Matt finds balance with a round or two of golf and staying up to date with the horse races while cherishing time spent with his young family.

  • Mark MARK PARTNER

    Mark has been a partner of Balance Accountants & Advisers since 2017. Moving to Australia from across the ditch (NZ) about 30 year ago, Mark holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand bringing a wealth of experience in all things accounting and taxation to the firm. Like his colleagues, Mark knows the importance of a balanced lifestyle keeping fit training and competing in triathlons.

  • Katie Katie ACCOUNTANT

    Joining the firm as an accountant in 2016, Katie has been a valuable member of the team ever since. Katie holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and is also qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Born and bred in Cowra, Katie is a familiar friendly face to everyone. Outside the office, Katie’s passions turn to horse racing and spending time with family and friends.

  • Katie Tanya ACCOUNTANT

    Tanya joined the Balance team in late 2019. Tanya is an experienced and talented accountant; she holds a Master of Professional Accounting and a Bachelor in Business Management. She has also recently become qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Originally from Camden NSW, Tanya settled in Cowra in 2017. Tanya is a wife and Mother to two young boys. As a busy working Mum, Tanya values her free time spent with her family.

  • Sharon Britten Sharon BOOKKEEPER

    Our bookkeeper Sharon has years of experience in finance having spent 12 years as the admin manager within the club industry, 9 years in admin in the building industry and 6 years in admin at a standardbred stud, as well as an advanced certificate of commerce under her belt. It would be fair to say Sharon likes to stay busy; she’s currently undertaking a diploma of accounting and is also married with three gorgeous children. To keep balanced, Sharon enjoys time with family and friends, watching the kids play rugby union and water-skiing.

  • Mitch Balance Mitch TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT

    Born and raised in Cowra, Mitch joined the Balance team in 2019 as our trainee accountant. Fast forward 2 years Mitch has proved to be an extremely capable young accountant. Securely tucked under the wing of our experts, Mitch’s knowledge and experience continues to grow and develop. To keep some balance, outside the office, Mitch enjoys keeping fit at the gym and relaxing at home playing video games.

  • Sophie Sophie OFFICE MANAGER (Cowra)

    Since joining the business as a receptionist in 2014, Sophie has set about making herself an integral part of the firm’s success. She has gained great insight into the financial industry and her leadership as office manager provides the platform upon which Balance Accountants & Advisers can serve the community best. Like her colleagues, Sophie relishes her hours away from work by spending quality time with her husband Ryan and their two daughters.

  • Dimity Ridding Dimity ADMIN MANAGER

    Dimity also joined the team in 2018 and is the friendly receptionist at the Cowra office. Coming full circle, Dimity grew up in Cowra but has resided over the years in Toowoomba, Canberra and Yass. Dimity completed a certificate in Business Administration in 2014 and has worked in administration and office management roles since. Dimity enjoys spending time with her family, holidays & home reno projects.

  • Akeisha Balance Accounting Akeisha ADMIN ASSISTANT

    Akeisha is the newest member of the Balance Cowra team, joining us in early 2021. Akeisha, originally from Bathurst moved to Cowra for love and is enjoying the feel of our close-knit community that is Cowra. She is currently undertaking a bookkeeping and accounting course. Akeisha is our customer service expert, due to her years of experience in the hospitality industry. In her spare time, Akeisha enjoys camping, DIY house renovations and being crafty.

  • Akeisha Balance Accounting Ellie RECEPTION

    Ellie joined the Balance team in February 2023. Ellie moved to Cowra in 2022 to be with her partner and is loving her new home town. She has experience in the world of accounting being an accounts manager for a civil engineering company in Canberra, combining this with her years of experience in customer service makes her a valued member of the Balance team. When Ellie isn’t greeting you at reception, she enjoys spending time with her partner and hound making memories.

Meet the GRENFELL Team

  • Emma Heatley Galvin Emma ACCOUNTANT

    Having worked in the accounting industry for five years prior to joining our firm in 2018, Emma is a valuable asset to our business and has called Grenfell home since 2010. Emma graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting/Financial Planning from Charles Sturt University in October 2014 and qualified as a Certified Practising Accountant in 2020. For a bit of balance, Emma loves working with charities, whether that is putting her accounting skills into practice or on the ground. She also enjoys camping with family and friends and getting in touch with her creative side.

  • Fran Galvin Fran BOOK KEEPER

    Fran is our valuable Bookkeeper at our Grenfell office, having joined us in 2018. To say Fran is experienced would be an understatement. Fran has spent 29 years working with Grenfell and surrounding area clients. For a little balance, Fran likes to trade bookkeeper for beekeeper on weekends by tending to her backyard bees and loves spending time with her beautiful grandchildren.

  • Karen Hampton Karen OFFICE MANAGER

    Born and raised in Grenfell, Karen spent 20 years living in Cowra and working in the accounting industry before moving back to Grenfell with her husband in 2014. During her time in Cowra, she was employed by two accounting firms and worked with partners Mark, Andy and Matt at one of these firms. Karen was employed by Balance Accountants in June 2018 as the Grenfell Office Manager, bringing with her years of experience and knowledge in the accounting industry. In her downtime, Karen enjoys caravanning with her husband & spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephew.

  • Nadine Laneyrie Nadine ADMIN MANAGER

    Hailing from Condobolin, our bright and bubbly Administration Manager Nadine joined the firm in 2018. Nadine has completed a Certificate 3 in Business Administration with Distinction and worked in the accounting industry before taking a break to have a family. Outside the office, Nadine is kept super busy with her four small children and enjoys spending quality time with her family, coffee dates with friends, cooking with her children, fishing, bonfires and camp ovens.

  • Nadine Laneyrie Alicia ADMIN ASSISTANT

    Another born and bred Grenfell girl, Alicia joined Balance Accountants in July 2020 as part of the Administration Team. Alicia brings with her a wealth of experience, having spent the last 10 years in the Customer Service Industry which resulted in her being promoted to a Managerial Position. In her down time, Alicia relishes time spent with friends and family and loves visiting her gorgeous nephew.

  • Monica Monica PRACTICE MANAGER

    As Balance Accountants & Advisers’ financial planner, Monica has an abundance of experience and qualifications to ensure you reach your financial goals. Monica is a certified financial planner and an authorised representative of Charter Financial Planning (ASIC Number 409402). Her further qualifications include both a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Away from the world of finance, Monica finds balance by spending time with her young family and the odd game of squash.

  • Rachel Rachel RECEPTIONIST

    As our financial planner’s administrative support, Rachel has a great depth of experience in various roles within financial services spanning 17 years. A Diploma of Financial Planning ensures she couples up-to-date knowledge with her understanding of the industry. When she is not providing expertly delivered support at the office, Rachel likes to indulge in her passion for photography.

Meet Zane

  • Zane Balance Lending Zane PRINCIPAL

    Zane joined the team in early 2021 as part of the addition of mortgage broking to the Balance brand. With a passion for finance and economics, and a unique outlook on the world, he is a novel addition to our team. He is the founding principal finance broker of Balance Lending Solutions. His education includes a Bachelor of Commerce - Economics and Business Management and a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking. He is an Accredited Finance Broker with the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia. Zane is a dual citizen South African, born in Durban SA and moved to our shores in 2016. When not at the office he enjoys new experiences and travel, relaxing to a film or music at home with his family, and playing the guitar. A keen rugby, golf and squash player, he fits in nicely with the active team at Balance.
